Re: boating while pregnant

my opinion - no. U dont know what kind of waves ur going to hit, u dont want to be bouncing around.
We went on vacation and all activities including any watersports (even boating) were not recommended for pregnant women.

my ob told me no boats when i was PG in the begining. you could hit ruff waters and the bouncing around its good this what my ob told me. even if she said i could i wouldnt i would be scared of posibly falling while the boat was moving

Re: boating while pregnant

Good question. My friend just invited me on his boat for sunday, but I assumed it could be bad...just figured bouncing around could do harm in the beginning

Re: boating while pregnant

I went on my uncle's boat when I was 5mths pregnant, he went slow for me and everything was fine although don't go by me it really isn't advisable to go on a boat while pregnant.

I think you'd be fine. The only concern I would have is if you're nauseous to begin with, the motion might make you sicker. The baby is well protected in there, bouncing around will not do it any harm.

i agree as well. the baby is not going to get shaken out - it's well protected in there and "stuck on" very well. Chat Icon

OMGChat Icon but so true! If that's the case about bouncing around i'm in trouble because driving code in the city is like being made into popcorn! I bounce around all day for 12hrs and never thought twice. Baby is soooooooooo well proteted. I would go but be cautious of n/v.

I would go.....My BFF jetskied throughout two of her pregnancies and had no issues....and I think you do way more bouncing on a jetski.

Totally Agree! I'm prone to motion sickness in general and don't do well on boats. That's the only thing that stopped me from going on a boat when I was pregnant.

Re: boating while pregnant

I asked my high risk OB about boating on my parent's boat and he said absolutely not while pregnant.
