Boobs and Bras

OK, so I'm about 9 weeks and I'm now totally busting out of my old bras. I'm a big chested girl to begin with, and now I feel like Pam Anderson. My questions are:
1) How far along were you when you had to invest in new bras?
2) Did you buy new ones at a maternity store or a regular store?
3) How many times did you have to upgrade?
4) Any tricks to making bras last longer (specific brands or types)?
Thanks!

GET MATERNITY BRAS. DO NOT EVEN WASTE YOUR TIME WITH NORMAL BRAS!!!!!! I am normally a 34D and went up to a 38E in maternity bras, I got mine at Mimi. They are so comfortable and the ONLY bras that can hold the weight. I bought mine at about 14 weeks, but I wish I had gotten them sooner.

Re: Boobs and Bras

I went up a cup size pretty early too. I bought regular bras though. Now at 33 weeks, I'm about to go up a size again. Chat Icon

Oh greatChat Icon

I'm already a 34 DD....I'm scared to think about how big these babies will get. I could knock someone out with them if I turn quickly.

I guess it's off to the maternity store.

Re: Boobs and Bras

I have gradually gone from a 36B (pre pregnancy) to a 40DD now Chat Icon Chat Icon They pretty much stopped growing at about 28 weeks in my case but my bras are definitely tighter again the past week or so !

I bought regular bras in bigger sizes, not maternity or nursing..

Oh I meant to add that I almost immediately needed a cup size bigger in my 1st trimester.. and I think I upgraded 2-3x throughout the pregnancy.. I have bras in many diff. sizes now! Chat Icon

Re: Boobs and Bras

I suggest you buy them as you need them and not in advance. You enever know what your body is going to do, or how quickly your boobs may/may not grow after this point.

Re: Boobs and Bras

I went from a 34C to 36E. I delayed getting maternity/nursing bras since i knew my boobs would change so much. I wore sports bras and bra tops, and finally caved buying maternity bras around 30 something weeks. I wore them up until a couple weeks ago when i stopped Bf'ing. I haven't BF in about 2 weeks, and I am still a 36D. Can't wait to get back down again!

I'm a 38E in Mimi bras too!! Chat Icon I was a 34 C- just kept going bigger and bigger and bigger and bigger!! I finally decided to give non-underwire ones a try and my life is better for it! Chat Icon
