Book character day (aka Halloween)

Hey guys
Does anyone else's school do this?
Last year my little guy was in kindergarten and we made him the chicka chicka boom boom tree

This year I'm going to try and make him Esteban the magnificent, from the day the crayons came home. Has anyone else done this? Any advice? I was gonna buy green felt to use as the crayon body, (unless I can find him a plain "pea green colored t shirt) , a felt hat with ribbon to make the tip of the crayon as a hat, or a plain Green Party hat, a hot glue gun and black stick on letters... I completely lack creativity and probably can't operate a glue gun lol so any help or advice is much appreciated

My husband said just buy a crayola green costume but they're not crayolas in that book!

Our school does this for Halloween. MY kids always picked their costume they wanted to go for Halloween and we found a book to go with it.

I am dressing my girl as Olivia from the books. She is in k so this is all new to me and as a working mom it kind of feels like a pain in the butt. But alas. I am putting her in a red dress we already had and I ordered striped leggings from children's place this afternoon.

My daughters go to catholic school they did this for catholic schools week. One of my daughters was biscuit the dog. She wore beige pants a white shirt with a beige sweater. We found a baseball hat with a dog face on it and a tail at party city and painted a dog face on her. My other daughter wore an Elsa dress there are a ton of frozen books
