Book Recommendation
I was wondering if you guys could recommend some books on being pregnant or being a first time parent that you found useful...
My SIL is pregnant with her first baby and I wanted to send her some good books - since she is an avid reader...
THANKS

Re: Book Recommendation
I have a great book called "Pregnancy,Childbirth and the Newborn The Complete Guide". I've found myself refering to it more then I do to What To Expect.
Also" The Baby Book" by Sears. It is a great guide to the first two years.

Re: Book Recommendation
I picked up the Girlfriend's Guide today and started to read it. I'm liking it so far--informative, but it's also funny and written in an engaging style.
"What to Expect" is very informative, but I'm not crazy about it. It seems preachy and sanctimonious to me at times. They also divide the pregnancy into months instead of weeks which makes it confusing.
"Your Pregnancy Week-by-Week" is good. I really like knowing what's doing with the baby each week.

I read parts of the Girlfriend's Guide when I was in the early stages, then forgot all about it and haven't picked it up since. Guess I should find it and check it out! And I LOVE "Your Pregnancy Week by Week", it's great, very easy to read & informative.
