Book Suggestions please
Need some book ideas...I am used to teaching students that are far below grade level and this year I am presented with a new challenge. I have a 5th grader that is reading at a level W. I'm need some ideas on where to go with him. Here is some info on him: -He gets bored very easily because he needs/wants a challenge. He told me his goal this year is to get to reading level Z! -He remembers EVERYTHING! Facts, dates, etc. (very impressive) -Loves expensive cars but seems to know everything on them already. -Loves sneakers lebrons, nike, etc. (Has approx. 10 of his own and is currently designing his own online) -Doesn't care for mystery books too much -Likes James Patterson children books (Ifunny, Ifunnier, etc) but seems to have read them all already. -If he doesn't know the answer to something, he will go find the answer and come back to tell me with more info than I asked for -Loves sports (knows all the stats on almost everything with each sport)
He is so smart! I am really stumped because I am used to dealing with students struggling to get to grade level. Any book suggestions would be great! Thank you

I'm not a teacher so I can't help but, I just wanted to say - WHAT AN AMAZING TEACHER YOU ARE!!!! This boy is so blessed to have you! I know first hand that most teachers unfortunately follow the curriculum and, don't think out of the box like this for kids that are way ahead (in fact, these kids tend to get the least attention in my experience). I hope my kids are lucky enough to have a teacher like you some day!!!
