SHe is great and so patient with the newborns!
My DD was NOT having a good day when she came and she spent hours calming her etc...

I'm new to all of this, as I want newborn photos taken, but have a little bit to wait, but is it normal to book photographers this far in advance?

I would book as soon as you know who you"d like to use. They book up quickly!

I used Lori and loveeeeeeeedddddddd her in fact I just booked her to do my dd's one year old shoot
If you look in my album "avajack" I posted a few pics (my dd was 10 days old during the shoot)
Lori is soooo patient and just an amazing person.
