Booked our trip to Mexico!!
We are going to Aventura Spa Palace in Riviera Maya in July for a week!! I can't wait to lie in the sun and do nothing.
For once, I got enough of a tax return to pay for the whole trip!!

My inlaws stayed there. They were there for the big hurricane. Before the hurrican hit though, they said the resort was beautiful, and the food was amazing.
Have a great time and enjoy the children free resort

We were supposed to go the day after the hurricane hit two years ago and instead ended up in DR. So this year, we decided to try again. Hoping for NO hurricanes!!!!

Yes...I would love any recommendations....for restaurants and anything else.
Did you go to any of their other resorts to eat?
Did you take any of the tours?

I went there a few years back and LOVE that place. And I just came back from the Moon Palace (just this Friday).
When we went we did take one tour- the one to the XhuPa (sp?) Palace and Tellum (half day at each). It was nice to see another resort and the snorkeling was nice there. Tellum is pretty - long but nice - good to have a day away.
I personally would stay there to eat dinner. I know at Moon - it was impossible to get into the nicer restaurants and in Aventura (at least when we went) we had no issues (at most 20-30 min wait and that was rare) and the food was very good. We always at dinner at the sit downs there and never the buffets. Moon Palace had 1-2 hour waits on the sit downs almost every night...We visited Cancun Palace this past week and I personally didn't think it was as nice as Moon or Aventura. Great beach and great locale if youa re into night life but the restaurants seemed the same and the hotel didn't give off that relaxing resort feel like the others do.
