OK, I'm to admit that I have never done this.
Is there a site you could recommend? TIA

Re: Booking flights on line
I go right to the airline- I searched high and low for Easter flights to FL and I ended up on delta - they were much cheaper then all the "discount" sites

I go to travelocity, orbitz and expedia, and when i find the flight I want, I look at the airline's web site - it is usually a few dollars cheaper. Don't forget about Southwest, virgin and jetblue.

Re: Booking flights on line
Kayak.com is a good one. It allows you to track flights and keep on putting them on hold for 24 hours continuously, to see if the price will get any lower or go up, in which case you pounce and order it

If you choose southwest, it's best to go right to the southwest site.
