Re: Books that take place in Barcelona (or Spain)?
Well The Sun Also Rises (Hemingway) takes place in northern Spain (and part of it in France). Death in the Afternoon (whihc I couldn't get into) also takes place in Spain.
Michener's Iberia.
The Seville Communion takes place in (guess!) Seville, and Captain Alatriste, by Arturo Perez Reverte Oh I read a great book that took place in Barcelona but I don't remember the name of it -- have to check my library file and I will let you know.
Anything by Garcia Lorca, Perez Reverte...
The Pillars of the Earth - Ken Follett
