Bored with a 16 month old - suggestions?
So this cold weather seems to have us in a funk. Yesterday we did some finger painting. This morning we used markers. We color using crayons frequently.
Occasionally we will bake together.
We read books, play with toys (including his kitchen set), even watch a movie every now and then.
But what other indoor activities am I missing? I feel like DC and I are both getting bored.

Have you tried melissa and doug puzzles? (the large piece ones) My DD LOVES them.

I posted this last night: games with toddlers because I am not buying any new toys for a while; there are some good ideas at the link!!!

i'll bump a post with 101 things to do with a toddler for u.
some others:
u can also do things like ring around the rosie, pots and pans parade (march and bang on pot with a spoon), u can play with shaving cream and foam, playdoh, make a fort.

we make a car "track" for his cars... typically it is a ramp made out of a board and some boxes made into tunnels.. it will entertain him for hours

We are in a similar situation. I think tomorrow I'm going to try to make macaroni art using tricolor pasta. Just put some glue on it and let him stick it to the paper.

We did the for the 1st time the other day (a fort with the couches and a blanket) and DS went crazy, he LOVED it!!
