Bottle question...

I didn't get any responses to my post the other day so I thought I'd try again if you don't mind. I'll only post one question this time! Chat Icon

Since Connor is eating solids now do you usually lower the amount of oz. in the bottles? Chat Icon I forgot? I just don't want him eating too much. Thanks!

Re: Bottle question...

I was told that between 5-6 months they shouldn't be eating more than 32oz of formula. For instance, my boys have 4 71/2 bottles in addition to their food. I decreased each bottle by 1/2 oz.

Re: Bottle question...

They're growing more and needing more to fill their bellies, so from what I understand the ounces in the bottle shouldn't decrease just b/c you're giving food. As majen said don't go over 32 oz. of formula (as the rule of thumb).

I was told that at this young age, all their nutrients and vitamins are from bm or formula and solids are just an added bonus - don't count them as a food source just yet. I wouldn't change anything until your next dr visit.
