Bottle question
Alex is still having gas issues that wake her up in the night and morning. I'm convinced that if she didn't have these gas pains she'd sleep through the night. We've been using the playtex nurser system with the drop in liners because, at first, it was the only nipple she would take (I'm exclusive breastfeeding). But, I think they're partly to blame for her gas and I want to switch to Dr. Brown's. I bought the starter kit, and the nipples look SOOO tiny! Nothing like the playtex nursers... do you think she'll take them? Any advice on making the transition?

Re: Bottle question
dr.browns bottles are a GOD SEND. my dd had the worst gas pains. and once i switched it was a miracle. i love those bottles. what a world of difference. i would just switch the bottles cold turkey. she will take to them, i am sure of it. and dr.browns has wide nipples as well, im not sure if you knew that. good luck. try the bottles, you wont be sorry.

Re: Bottle question
Hayley was using Platex too and I switched to Dr Browns wide neck bottles. She had no problems switching to them.

Re: Bottle question
I agree about the wideneck bottles..the nipples are much bigger than the ones on the long bottles. Good Luck

Re: Bottle question
I personally like the reg better... by since you usually nurse...wide neck might be a good idea....
Ryan also has been using level 2 nipples since like 3 weeks old.... (even when I was giving him expressed BM)
I dont know what it is but he never got anything out of the level ones...
But at this point....he would be on 2's anyway since he's 3 months old (thats the suggested age)
They dont come with the bottle so make sure to pick them up!

Re: Bottle question
Didn't work She can't latch properly to either the standard or the wide nipple so it's causing worse gas than the playtex ones! Back to square one...
