Boy is my NYC School SCREWED if a lot of children show up!

I teach in a small, early childhood school in Queens:) We only have 15 classroom teachers total:) We have about 330 students. I already know most of my colleagues are not going in AND we got a memo last week that we cannot call subs anymore due to budget "issues". Wow, is my Principal screwed!!! I mean really, what will they do if a lot of kids show up with NO teachers? I think Bloomberg is going to be in BIG trouble for this decision!

We didnt start until after 9 am. We had only about 1/4 of the students in each grade so many classes are combined. No teaching is going on because some teachers dont even have their own kids. What a waste Bloomberg! Luckily I live like 2 min from my job but other teachers travel from far out in LI - they literally risked their lives to get to work - the streets were a mess
