Boy toddler sneakers
How many do you buy? His first pair I got was blue and my parents got him brown stride rite so he could wear them to match clothes. Second pair I got cute white stride rite sneakers. They had some navy blue in it so they could go with anything. Now he's moving up again and I saw a cute pair of NB black and silver sneakers I'm going to get in size 6, but then I realized it won't go with certain clothes. Do you buy a few pairs or one.
I do have sandals for him, but looking for fall shoes now

Re: Boy toddler sneakers
I usually only do 1 pair of sneakers and 1 pair of "shoes" I then usually have to buy another pair of sneakers later in the season.

This is how I am starting the season but fully expect to add later in the season as his foot grows, he messes them up, I see what he is wearing most often, etc.

Same here.
I just like him to have more than one pair of shoes since he's bound to jump in a puddle here and there!

Re: Boy toddler sneakers
We always have at least 2 pairs of sneakers just in case 1 gets wet, dirty, etc, and a pair or snow boots and sometimes brown dressier shoes.
DS is a size W/XW but I love the NB ones, much more than Stride Rite. I ordered his last pair off of Sears online for less than $20, and DS finds them to be more comfy than the Stride Rite brand ones.

Re: Boy toddler sneakers
This summer he has 2 pairs of sneakers, a pair of brown "dressier" sneakers/shoes, and a pair of enclosed sneaker/sandals.
One pair of his sneakers was Navy/Silver Saucony and the other pair was Elmo (don't ask!!!). I love the NB sneakers and he had a gray pair before the Sauconys but he destroyed them outside. So we bought the Elmo sneakers primarily for playing outside - especially if it was muddy out. But he's outgrown them and the brown shoes. The navy are fine for him to wear outside because they don't really show the dirt.
I'm waiting a little longer but for the fall, I plan to buy him another pair of gray NB, another pair of sneakers for outside and probably a dressier pair of brown shoes/sneakers.

Re: Boy toddler sneakers
These are DS's current faves, and they are great. They've worn better than the Stride Rite ones too.

Re: Boy toddler sneakers
I think I'm going to get 1 pair of blue sneakers and 1 pair of brown shoes for the fall. Most of his casual stuff is sports related and is mostly blue.
I'll get him a pair of brown boots for the winter.
DS hardly ever wears black, so I would only get black sneakers if they were on sale and super cool.

Re: Boy toddler sneakers
Right now he has a mostly white pair, a mostly black pair, a brown pair and a silvery sporty pain. He also has 2 pairs of sandals and croc type shoes. I always have a lot of shoes for him, but never spend $$$ on them. Target, Payless, sales, etc. He is 3. When he was very young I bought him Stride Rite shoes and he didn't have as many pairs.

Re: Boy toddler sneakers
I usually buy one pair of sporty everyday sneakers that have some version of blue or orange or green that tend to go with most clothes
then i usually also buy a "dressier" pair of brown/black shoes for going out
My son always LOVES the sporty type so he is usually the dressed up kid in sneakers lmao
