Boys Communion suit
DS is making his first communion this year and I was thinking, navy suit, light blue shirt, white tie.
I went into Loebels today and they made me think I was nuts. The lady said they have to wear a white shirt and tie.
What have you done/seen?

I don't think I've seen any colored shirts but it's really up to you. My DS wore navy suit with white shirt and tie last year. Most of the boys were wearing navy, a few had black and I think I saw one all white suit.

Our church had specific dress attire for the boys and girls. Only white dress shirts and white tie which I purchased through them including the white arm band. They recommended black or dark navy blue suits or a really dark brown.

Boys Communion suit
We were given a white tie to wear. That was the only part of the wardrobe that was mandatory. My ds wore a seersucker suit. A lot of boys were in navy or gray suits, and the rest wore navy blazers and slacks.

Navy Blue, white shirt, white tie, and white arm band as per church. Check with the church before you buy anything. My dd's dress had to be tea length and with covered arms.

It all has to do with the church. They all have their own rules. The parish DS made his Communion in did not have a set dress code.

Check Lord and Taylor, the quality is much better.
My son wore kahki dress pants, blue blazer, white shirt and bow tie. Our church didn't have a dress code.

My son wore a navy suit and white shirt with a pink and blue tie. He looked fabulous. I had a white tie and I wasn't crazy about it so I nixed it. Our church has no clear rules.

My church also has no color preference but I am going with navy suit, white shirt, and white satin tie. And an arm band.

This was the same for the boys in my family. White dress shirt, white tie and white arm band. Dark suit (I think all the boys in my family have worn black).
