Re: Braxton Hick
I think I have had them and they basically feel like your belly, especially the under part, tightens all of a sudden. They do not hurt at all, sometimes just a little uncomfortable or strange.

Re: Braxton Hick
OK, from what you all are saying, I may be having them. Should I call the dr, or is this totally normal and just go about my day?

I first felt them at about 24 weeks, I think. It took me awhile to understand what they were. They started happening more frequently around 28-30 weeks.
And they are totally normally. You can let your doc know at your next appointment that you have been having them. If you're nervous, you can always call the doc for peace of mind. But they are definitely normal.

It's normal although if you have them consistently (more than 4 or 5 in an hour) or they get very painful, you should call your doctor. Try to drink a lot of water as dehydration can trigger them. BH can also occur if you don't empty your bladder often enough.

Re: Braxton Hick
I also started getting them around 30 weeks. For me it feels like I have been holding pee for too long. I find they happen more at night(my Dr said because we get more dehydrated at night) and when I move quickly. The feeling is a tightening, heaviness. That would be the way I would describe mine

ETA: Im 27w It never hurts to call your Dr & let them know when you have anything going on, but you should be OK.
I get them every now and again from about 18w. I find that they are more likely to come when I am stressed or dehydrated

Re: Braxton Hick
When I had them with DS, the first time they were very bad. They were actually like contractions that the dr made me go to L&O to get checked out.
