bread delivery at a restaurant
is it normal for a restaurant to have their bread delivery left outside?? I saw this and am completely turned off by it.
Am I crazy?
I've seen it twice this week - Wednesday it was around 10am (not sure what time the restaurant opens) and this morning it was out at 7:45am. Makes me think its out there for 3+ hours each day?? it was under an awning so it was not getting wet, but it looks like its packed just in brown bags and boxes

When I was in college I worked at a sandwich shop that opened very early (7am I think) and the bread was always delivered before then and left outside, on the side of the shop. Never really thought about it then, but now I can see why you would be turned off by that.

It's not that they are packed in boxes/bags....its that its left on the sidewalk for 3+ hours. Fruits and veggies get washed before serving/eating...bread doesn't

You're assuming that the fruits and veggies are getting washed before they're being served. Just throwing it out there. The bread thing doesn't strike me as odd/skeeve me out at all.

Totally normal. On occasion restaurants and shops have had their bread stolen, before they open!

Normal. DH is in wholesale baking. He is baking at his warehouse at 1 am, and has guys delivering for him in the wee hours of the morning. Some places don't open til later, so of course it must sit somewhere.
