Breast Cancer Awareness Month....

As a supporter of breast cancer, I am urging all of you to get a mammogram and do a monthly breast exam.

Mammograms do not hurt. Don't put it off. Remember early detection is the key.

it was not bad at all! I went to Zwanger-Persiri in Lindenhurst & the tech there was so cool & made me feel really comfortable.

It's really not bad - I am beyond baselineChat Icon - have to go once a year, but it's not a big deal and it only takes about ten minutes for the actual exam.

Honestly - it doesn't matter if it hurts - it is better than going through the pain of god forbid there are bad results from tests or a lump being found when it is too late Chat Icon

Re: Breast Cancer Awareness Month....

I'm a HUGE advocate of breast cancer awareness... I'm only 24 and most people think that's too young to start getting check, but I will be talking to my GYN next month about me getting a mamo.

In memory of CG... Miss you!

I have heard doctor's say this quite often......I don't think it is weird at all! Especially, since I've heard of women under the age of 30 getting breast Cancer!

Thanks for the post!

ETA: It does hurt a tiny bit but worth it!

Great post!! As someone that has had a personal experience at a young age I can say you should also always be doing a self exam --every month, especially if you have dense breasts and should get a mammogram. No better time to remind everyone of this than during October. The experiences I went through changed my life forever...in a good way and thank God I am healthy but something every woman needs to think about....early detection and being informed can truly save your life Chat Icon
Not meaning to scare anyone but definetly think of this the way you think of a yearly physical..I am just passionate about this topic
