Breastfeeding and Birth Control
I didn't realize that you cannot take birth control while breastfeeding. What do you use besides condoms for protection?

My SIL takes the mini pill, it's progesterone only pill approved for breastfeeding mommies

My SIL takes the mini pill, it's progesterone only pill approved for breastfeeding mommies
this is what i take as well
although i doubt i am ovulating  but better safe than sorry!

this is what i take as well
although i doubt i am ovulating but better safe than sorry!
I wanted too take it for myself even though i am not bf'ing and my doc told me the way it works is if you did ovulate by chance while bf'ing, the progesterone makes it almost impossible to egg to implant. It doesn't stop ovulating though...bf'ing should do that
I don't do well with estrogen based pills, so thats why i inquired

This is what I have now because we're pretty sure we're done having kids. You can take it out to get pregnant again, but usually people don't use it for short term BC.
