Breastfeeding Question from a non-mom...
i'm not a mom yet, so i thought i would get your opinions on this....
would you post pictures of yourself breastfeeding your baby on facebook? we're not talking the sweet, nice kind where the baby is covering up most of the boob... we're talking full view of boob, pulled out over the shirt... there was even one of them tandem feeding the oldest child (probably close to 2) and the new baby both at once....

i have absolutely no problem with nursing, tandem nursing, and taking pictures of it if you feel like it. in fact, i regret not taking pics of me and my DS while he was still nursing.
having said that, i personally wouldn't post those pics for all to see. not because i find them offensive to look at, but because for ME those pics would be very personal and private.

I personally wouldn't post them except maybe if it was one of those sweet kinds where everything was pretty well covered up or if maybe they were some kind of tasteful professional photos. I just see no reason why I need to post photos of myself exposed like that on the internet, but again, that's just my personal feelings.
In general, I couldn't care less if someone posted their own pics exposing a little more or if they were tandem nursing. I feel that breastfeeding is natural & nothing that needs to be shamed or hidden so any photos of it wouldn't make me uncomfortable. I think photos of breastfeeding mothers are beautiful.
ETA: I do have photos pf myself nursing DD & I'm sure I'll take some of me nursing DS too.

I wouldn't post either kind but we have taken pics of me nursing(and the couple of times I tandem nursed because we were in amazement!)

I appreciate photos like that. I remember when Summer posted her's- I thought it was BEAUTIFUL.
I've always wanted to capture one of the precious times I share/d with one of my girls because I absolutely adore my time spent nursing.
That said, I'd likely NOT post ones of me on FB because I know there are some pretty closed-minded individuals out there who need to get the stick out.
ETA: I also appreciate the pics that aren't so "pretty". Regardless of the way it is done (boob "hanging out", areola showing, stretch marks and the like) it is still a depiction of the most nurturing thing a mother can do with her child.

Personally, I would never even take pictures like that, but that's because I'm very self-conscious. If I ever did take those pics, the last place I'd put them would be on face book. To each their own, I guess. I don't see it as being offensive at all, just not something I'd do.

Proud Breast Feeding Mom here and have plenty of photos from birth on but those are private for my family and I to view... If I chose to share with anyone it would not be on a website... I have seen pleny of Nursing Moms do it and that is fine but not for me to do...

I don't find anything offensive about those types of pictures.. breastfeeding was one of the most amazing things I had ever done.
But I barely share pictures of myself AT ALL.. so you can imagine that my answer to posting pics of my self with any sort of skin showing would be completely out of the question.

I have many pics of me breastfeeding my son, as others have said it is a wonderful thing that doesn't last very long and I will really like to be able to look back on these sweet times.
I don't post any pictures of my son on FB, so I wouldn't post pics of me nursing him. That being said I have no problem with other moms doing it and I can appreciate those pics for what they are. No it may not be the most 'beautiful' pic in media terms but I think they show a beautiful relationship. I find nothing about them to be vugar or sexual.
