Breastfeeding question- is it ok to eat sushi?

Everybody differs in their opinion - mine would be no but I was strict when I was nursing. others will say yes - go to www.kellymom.com and there should be an answer in there or call your ped if you are worried

I never did, not the ones with row fish at least. The bacteria in row fish that might do nothing but give you some stomach problems may be much more harmful to the baby.
There are certain things that are best to stay away from and unfortunately raw fish is on that list.
I agree with kellymom.com suggestion, it is very informative.

I've had it in moderation and I don't eat the tuna since thats really high in mercury - I basically stick with Salmon and some of the white fish and yellowtail.

I personally never did b/c my DD's didn't take bottles of BM or formula so if I got food poisoning, i'd be in trouble!
