Breathing issues
Im not sure whats going on with Noah.
Ever since he was a baby he always breathed heavy.
I thought it was reflux related at first but he doesnt have that issue anymore.
He never seems tohave it when we are the ped.
But he always breathes, almost like a pant...after activities like a bath, eating etc.
Is this normal?
No wheezing...just heavy panting like breathing and when he relaxes it stops.

Re: Breathing issues
Does your camera or cell phone let you record video? If it does next time hes having this try and just tape some of it so you can show your peds.
I notice sometimes my dds' left eye goes cross eyed. My dh never noticed, but i got on my phone camera and showed him. Im going to show peds at appointment this week.

no...
I have mentioned it before to the ped, but they never really "checked " it out, but tonight after his bath he was kinda out of breath and it worried me a little cause his mouth was wide open and he was like panting.

yeah like huffing. He does it after eating, after playing in the jumperoo, after bathtime which is kinda hardcore playtime for him.

Re: Breathing issues
Jack will breathe real heavy at times too. Sometimes after eating, sometimes after playing, I never really gave it a second thought because it does go away within a few minutes. I thought it was more that he was exhausted from whatever we were doing.

Similiarly, I thought it was just him being really excited. He doesn't look like he is distressed, does Noah? Just, kinda, letting off some steam?

Re: Breathing issues
I would mention it to the ped again and make sure that he takes a look at it. If he doesn't to your satisfaction then take him to a pediatric ENT. Good luck and keep us updated

Re: Breathing issues
If you are worried about it at all take him to an ENT. With both my children the pediatrician never told us to go but we took them on our own. With me first the ENT could not believe we had waited so long and with my second we just recently took him at 9 months. Both times they had problems that could be corrected. My main concern with my nine month old was heavy breathing. Pediatrician said everything fine but turns out adnoids are enlarged and he is on Augmenten for 20 days to shrink them. It will not hurt to get it checked out if you are worried at all.
