Bringing baby to a play? UPDATE...he was great!

My friend's sister is in her high school musical and my friend invited me to go with her. Christopher's 8-months now and he's sat through movies without making a peep and I know with the lighting and singing, he'd be kept entertained. Of course, if he started making a fuss or crying, I would always leave the auditorium until he's calmed down. I remember back when I was in school plays, there was the occasional baby cry and everybody was okay with it, but I'm not sure if things have changed at all.
Basically, what I'm asking... Am I absolutely nuts for considering bringing him to this? Would it be inconsiderate of me to the other audience members to bring him? Usually the Sunday matinee performance is meant for audience members with younger children, so I'm really on the fence about this one. Any advice would be appreciated Chat Icon

Re: Bringing baby to a play?

no, bring him, my son sat through the Lion King last month he was only 6 months, it sounds like your son is entertained easily, he'll probably enjoy it! Have fun!!

I would bring him. If it was a Broadway play, I'd say no, but it's high school - which means its for the kids.

Well, we ended up going and he was wonderful. In fact, he slept for the whole first act and half of the second Chat Icon. So, thanks ladies. I'm glad I ended up going.
