If your DC only ate a particular kind of food, etc... AND you brought the food with you. I am talking sealed food. Like Gerber Graduate toddlers, etc..

Did you put the food in the suitcase to be checked in?
With you in a carry on in the plane?

Did you have it shipped to your destination?

I am not up to that point but I brought jars of baby food in my carry on on the plane.

The rest I bought at my destination. I guess it depends on where you are going. If you are going to a place where you can get the food, I would just buy it there. Especially with the weight limits on luggage today.

I would honestly call the hotel ahead of time and ask if you can get stuff shipped there. As the PP said with the weight limits on luggage I wouldn't want to pack a week's worth of meals, and I'd be afraid that my suitcase would get squished. I would bring a couple of meals in my carry on, but I would ship everything else.

Sorry should have added that it's for Disney and we are staying on the Disney grounds. Not outside the comples!

Most Disney hotels will let you ship stuff there. I would think that might be easier than trying to pack a bunch of food. If you decide to pack it I would pack it in a soft cooler bag that will fit in a suitcase that way if anything opens it doesn't get all over everything. I would try to cushion it as much as possible.

There is a place near disney that will deliver groceries to your hotel (even ahead of time). You can place your order online and it will be there when you get there.

That way you only have to bring on the plane what you need for that day.

Here is the website:
