I have both. Not for safety reasons but I like the Britax better for everyday, I find it just easier to use. JMO. We have the Evenflo in DH car so I don't use it often.

Re: britax roundabout or Evenflow triumph 5. need opinions
We have the evenflo triumphs. The only problem I have with them is that now that we have 2 in the backseat (Camry) the rear facing one can be difficult to reach the knob to adjust the straps. But I think it's the way that the Camry's seat itself is designed, the sides come into the cabin slightly which makes it difficult to get my hand in between that and the baby's seat. The forward facing one and when we had one seat rear facing in the middle of the seat I had no problems at all.

Re: britax roundabout or Evenflow triumph 5. need opinions
I have the Triumph and like it. I had one with Caiden as well. Couldn't and can't afford the Britax so I can't compare. No problems with the Triumph and it's just as safe. Why spend the money if you don't have to. If you have the money go for it, but if not, the Triumph is great and safe!

We have the Evenflow Triumph in both cars and have no complaints. The Evenflow and the Britax are rated the same with Consumer reports, so if you have the money, go for the Britax, if not the Evenflo is rated just as safe.

Re: britax roundabout or Evenflow triumph 5. need opinions
We have the Triumph and Recaro Young Sport. We like the Recaro so much better. I don't like the Triumph - the straps get tangled and the knobs don't seem to work as they should (they get stuck too often). Also, there isn't much side protection for his head (in the Recaro, he can fall asleep and his head won't flop sideways because there side protection).
I don't have a Britax but I've heard good things about them.

I agree. We got rid of our triumph and bought the roundabout.

We have the Evenflo and have had no problems with it. We would have gotten the Britax, but couldn't afford it at the time.

Is this the Evenflow Triumph everyoen is talking about?
We are lookign for a second car seat to put in G'parent's car that is not as expensive as Britax, which is what we have in ours. Could you post pictues of the Evenflow Triumph model you have? there are a few of them on line... not sure which one...

Re: britax roundabout or Evenflow triumph 5. need opinions
We have the Roundabout in my car (the family car) and a Triumph in my Dh's car and my mother's car. My DD is comfortable in either one. I like the Roundabout because it seems cushier to me- and I love the velcro on the side to hold the straps. Since she spends more time in my car, we have the Roundabout in there. It seemed easier to install- but that could be the difference in cars also. Both are good- both are safe- and both were rated very high by Consumer Reports. I just happen to favor the Roundabout (and it matches my car interior perfectly)!

Re: britax roundabout or Evenflow triumph 5. need opinions
We have both. The Britax is in my car and the Evenflow is in my husbands. I originally had an Evenflow also, but the local police department said it did not fit my car correctly so I went with the Britex. My so likes both seats..no problems.

Re: britax roundabout or Evenflow triumph 5. need opinions
I have the Evenflo Triumph and I do not feel like I am compromising my daughter's safety at all It's ratings are the same as the Britax. Infact, I had received the Britax for my shower and thought it was too big, so I returned it and bought two Evenflos. I love it and so does Ava.
