Britney Spears a FREEEEEEE WOMAN
Britney Spears is a free woman and her parents are clearly frustrated, especially after today's circus in the streets of Bev Hills.
Based on what we know, it's a good bet Jamie Spears will be back in court -- we're guessin' tomorrow -- asking the Commish to put some teeth in the conservatorship order. That order gives the conservator power to restrict the visitors Brit receives. No doubt Ma and Pa were frustrated that Brit let a paparazzo ride with her in her car today. And we're hearing they were none too happy about the people she saw at the Bev Hills Hotel.
It wouldn't be at all unusual for the conservator to ask for an order requiring the cops to enforce the instructions Jamie lays down. In other words, he could call the Bev Hills Police and ask them to remove the pap from the car.
Likewise, the conservatorship gives Jamie the right to approve contracts. It's a good bet he would not have approved Britney buying stuff or getting a room at the hotel. Think about the cops going to the hotel and telling the manager they can't let Brit buy stuff or get rooms without Jamie's consent and if they defied Jamie they could be held in contempt.

And she was already out driving round LA on her first day out.
Shes obviously medicated being just released and there she goes again.
So now is it still her mental illness causing her to be a drama queen?

you think she was cured in a week?
I am sure there is a personality issue here as well as her mental illness- but I dont think she could be fully recovered from her psychiatric symptoms in 1 week.
and people who take psychiatric medications can and do drive.

And this is the point where I start to feel slightly bad for Britney.... and please keep in mind that I said "slightly".
The girl justs gets out of the hospital, she is not doing anything newsworthy... simply driving around and she is literally swarmed with photographers.
It was on the news last night as a live car "chase" just like the OJ Simpson drive was. Why are helicopters following her car? 
Leave the girl alone. Granted she ends up stopping at public places, but my goodness, helicopters chasing her, 20 photographer cars following her, photographers surrounding her car at every stop light... this can't be helping her.
And this is why I feel "slightly" bad for her! (there is still part of me that says she needs to take accountability and doesn't feel so bad)

ITA. I think the media is creating the drama and situation she gets herself into. She is just in her car, suddenly it's like "COPS" on TV with media coverage. No wonder the girl is going to drive on somebody's foot. Why would someone have their foot that close to her car in the 1st place.
I do think she has "issues" but they are REALLY NOT helping her.

Not cured, there is no cure.
But medicated...yes...
But yes we are all still speculating on what her mental illness is.
Thing is, even if her father has control over her, WHY oh WHY is she out cruising around LA and at hotels etc when she is minutes released from a psychiatric facility?
I cant take it anymore.
She was not committed further for what reason? Because she either was not seen as a severe threat or they felt she was capable of taking care of herself?
who knows.
But cmon, when does someone have to face responsibility for their actions?
I feel AWFUL for her, I think she is not gonna make it, b/c no one seems to be really helping her, but I am done believing the excuses made for her as well.
Shes an adult...a messed up one yes, but she is not a mental case running around with out capabilities minutes after being released....
She needs some serious intense help.
eta- Totally agree on the media , if they left her alone, she wouldnt have turned into half the mess she is.
But really is there any way to getthem to do that?
Her situation should make people look more at how harmful the paparazzi is...but I doubt it will change

I have to slightly disagree. She had a paparazzo in her CAR! And who gets a hotel room after being released from the hospital? I'm sorry, but she brings this all on herself. She was able to leave the hospital without anyone knowing, and rather than take advantage of it and go home and lay low - she drives around.
Sorry, but I still have very little sympathy for her.

I can definitely understand your point...
I agree that Britney needs to make better choices, but there definitely has to be some accountability on both sides... Britney and the media.
I still think that there is no excuse for the media to have helicopters following her car or for the paparazzi to chase her for no other reason than the fact that she is Britney Spears. It's not like she took someone hostage or was driving recklessly, putting herself, her kids or other people in danger. In fact, I think the paparazzi were the ones making a dangerous situation with 20 or so SUV's following her car, having photogs jump out to surround her car when she stopped. There are so many other more important things going on.
I just can't see this situation ending up anywhere good on the current path it's on.

She's a spoiled brat. Her cars need to be taken away from her and she needs to be brought back to Louisianna with her family...out of the Hollywood scene.
How long has she been away from her children? I don't feel sorry for this girl one bit...

i can't help but feel sorry for her simply because she CLEARLY needs help and i don't understand why they would let her go already? i wish her parents would be more insistent or something. i especially feel bad for her kids

On the L.A. news last night, the police commissioner was actually addressing this - he said it's gotten completely out of hand, that the paparazzi are creating a very real danger to the celebrities, themselves, and innocent bystanders on the streets, and that he's made a motion to create a new law where they won't be allowed to pursue celebrities like that anymore, because currently there's nothing on the books preventing it.
I hope that's true, and that it passes quickly and is enforced. I'm not sure why it wasn't done a few years ago already. With them driving the way they do, it's just a matter of time before someone gets seriously hurt or killed liked Princess Diana.
