Broadway show - balcony seats

Is it horrible if i get balcony seats for me and my DDs to see Matilda at shubert theatre? These are cheapest for $55 each. Just wondering if these seats are almost not worth going?

Broadway show - balcony seats

I loved Matilda! Can't comment on those seats, but we were in the orchestra towards the front and aisle (I was like a million weeks pregnant at the time) and the cast performs parts in the aisles. It was really cool. Great show! Enjoy!

I'm not sure about that specific theatre, but I just saw Book of Mormon and we had balcony seats. Sometimes I prefer sitting the balcony. I think you can see more of what's going on on the whole stage. I say, go and enjoy your time with your daughters!

Is Balcony different than Mezzanine?

Excuse my ignorance I usually only sit in orchestra but I have sat in front mezzanine and it's great.

I am also a Broadway snob and only sit in orchestra; however, we wanted to take our girls to On The Town and there was NO way, no way, I was going to spend $$$$ for all of us. We got the 2nd row in the balcony and the seats were great! Would totally do that again...definitely with the kids!

Depending on the theatre, balcony can mean the tier above the mezzanine or the furthest part of the mezzanine. You'l be pretty far from the stage but it thats the only way to afford it, I still say go for it.

I would get them if the difference in price is signficant. I sat in the balcony recently for Wicked (which is at Gershwin - a very large theatre). And honestly thought it was fine. I am short so I actually saw better in the balcony than past experiences in the orchestra where I tend to always get stuck behind someone tall with large hair hahaha.

We watched Matilda from very high up in balcony and it was great. I wouldn't hesitate to get balcony seats.

We just saw Matilda a couple of weeks ago, and sat in the Mezzanine first row. The balcony is a level higher than that. I thought our seats were awesome, better than in the orchestra ones we had last year. The theater is very small IMO, so I'm sure those seats are fine. It's an AWESOME show!!! Enjoy!!

My favorite seats are front mezzanine. I feel like you can see more of the stage that way. I have set in the balcony once years ago to see Les Miz and it was fine. I love broadway, so for me I don't care where I sit really as long as I am there.
