Of the 3, which would you recommend for date night? Hamilton, Dear Evan Hanson, or Come From Away. TIA!

I've seen Hamilton and Dear Evan Hansen. Both are REALLY good! Evan Hansen is significantly cheaper than Hamilton though.

That's tough.
I only saw Come From Away and loved it.

Hamilton tickets are extremely hard to get unless you go for resale and the tickets are Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I’ve seen Hamilton and Come From Away. Both are excellent and you couldn’t go wrong with either, but they also couldn’t be more different from each other. Hamilton is a BIG broadway production - all the bells and whistles while CFA is so simply done, yet beyond amazing. CFA is my all time favorite show and I can’t wait to go see it again. So, of the 2 that would be my choice

Re: Broadway show

I haven't seen the other two, I'll just warn that Come From Away made me cry so not the best date night for me.
I am super sensitive about that time frame so if you're not, it's probably fine and an amazing show.

I've seen all of them (multiple times), and I think you can't go wrong with any of them, but DEH is pretty devastating. (So is CFA, but it's so full of hope that I don't see it as quite the same kind of heart wrenching.) And you can NEVER go wrong with Hamilton (so I'd pick that if it were a choice every time, I'd say.)

Thank you, everyone! We were surprised that it actually is not that hard to get tickets to Hamilton. Just to see, we looked to see what was available for this week, and tons of seats came up. They weren't great seats- rear mezzanine, but still an option. We ultimately decided on Come From Away. Like Hamilton, I don't know one person who saw it who didn't love it, and the story line interests us slightly more than Hamilton.

Just as an FYI, last night, my daughter was at a friend's house for movies and a sleepover. So, my husband and I took the LIRR to Manhattan, and got tickets from the TKTS booth. We saw Beautiful The Carole King Story. It was really good! If you haven't seen many shows and any one would be OK, I really recommend the TKTS booth!

"You Will Be Found" from Dear Evan Hansen gets me every time. We saw Beautiful, loved it! We used to be huge theatre goers- we would see 4-5 shows a year. But now we have 5 kids and our money is so much better spent on other things. But now that our youngest is 3, and we don't have babies in the house anymore, it is getting easier to leave them with family and babysitters.

I hope you love Come From Away as much as I (and everyone I know who's seen it) did!

I saw Be More Chill, it was okay. It was funny, but I felt like it dragged on

Re: Broadway show

I enjoyed Come from Away. I am sure you will too.

Hamilton is way too long of a show for me to even see it. Plus I’m a huge minority here; but I have no interest in seeing it either.
