Broadway Ticket Advice needed
I want to take Emma to see the Little Mermaid. My SIL her mom and my mom are going as well. I really want to go at 2 on a Sat or Sun but those seem IMPOSSIBLE to get. And the tickets are $$$ each. Any advice?
Oh and getting them day of really isnt an option. I like to get to the city tickets in hand since it's a hike in there for us.

Ve got tickets for Emma and her and my brother and her mom--- I'll have to ask her who she got them thru... I'm not sure... I'll check w/ her and let you know. Do you have a date in mind?

ITA!!!!! (Little arm twisting there) But in all seriousness since the show is pretty new the weekends are going to stay pricey and booked for a while. If your not totally into a weekday look into the holidays, DH and I try for a lot of the Jewish holidays, the theatres tend to be quiet but the schools are still in session.

As a former kindergarten teacher... I'd take her out of school to see it on a Wednesday too. It's not like you're making it a habit or anything.

I would check into the place where you could get the tickets cheaper in NYC I think it is called TKTS or something like that.

Pretty sure you have to buy tickets day of there, and you have no guarantee what shows will be available.
I checked my corporate discount codes for you -- Sometimes, for the REALLY popular shows, you don't get a discount, but you get a code so you can purchase reserved tickets. Unfortunately, the Little Mermaid wasn't on the list.
I'd take her out of school for the day and have fun!
As a kid, my parents let me play hookie every Opening Day at Shea. My dad and I went together, just the two of us, every year. Those are memories I'll treasure forever. And I promise you, my grades and schoolwork didn't suffer just due to that one day of fun.

Re: Broadway Ticket Advice needed
I don't think you're going to be able to get discounted tickets, but I think a Wed. matinee is a good idea!
