I like to boil it just a couple of minutes and then I drizzle extra virgin olive oil, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice over it.

Well, you can add a little salt and pepper too but honestly you don't need it

I agree - I like all vegetables best when they are roasted. You can use olive oil and any type of seasonings you want (salt, pepper, chili flakes, garlic powder, etc.) and do this for almost any veggie. Brussels sprouts are really good this way, too!

My DH isn't a big veggie fan but he will eat them if they are roasted until very crispy.

I steam my broccoli. I cut off more than half the stems, I leave a little. I place the steamer in the pot and fill the pot with enough water to fill up to the steam and toss the broccoli in there. I put it on a low setting and let it cook for about 20-25 mins. I place a knife through to make sure its cooked.

I slice garlic really thin, I use 3 gloves and drizzle olive oil and add the garlic. I toss with a little salt and its perfect!

Re: broccoli 101

My mom steams her broccoli lightly, they puts it hot in a bowl with fresh lemon juice and sliced garlic and seals it tight. We then eat it at room temp. It is delicious!

Re: broccoli 101

I toss with garlic powder, olive oil and S&P and sprinkle with some panko bread crumbs. Roast on a sheet pan at 400 for about 20 minutes until the tips are getting brown. Right when I take it out I sprinkle with a little bit of parmesan cheese. It's so good.

Or I just steam and dip in Frank's red hot Chat Icon

Roasted with lots of garlic, pepper, a dash of salt some Italian seasoning. Drizzle with lemon juice when they come out. You can also sprinkle some breadcrumbs on the top before you roast. Top with a bit of cheese, if you like.

Re: broccoli 101

First I add some butter AND olive oil to a sautee pan, add some chopped garlic and lightly sautee (not burn the garlic or it is bitter). Then i take fresh broccoli florets (washed) and green and yellow zucchinni sliced thin add them to the pan ans sautee them as well. Add a little salt and pepper (and sometime red pepper flakes if I want a kick) for taste. I make angel hair pasta (or even penne) make and drain. I add the pasta to the pan (usually just 1/2 a box worth since my son will only eat plain pasta, lol) and mix the pasta with the veggies. It is so easy, so good and my husband and daughter devour it!
