Brookhaven residents-question
Does anyone know where to get the big brown paper leaf bags? I couldn't find it on the website. I picked up my curby can at the horseblock road dump. Has anyone gotten them from the town lately?

I have no idea....In my neighborhood(Medford), I only see them from Lowes or Pathmark so I'm not even sure that the town supplies them.

I am not sure.. but I think I saw them at HD and Walmart.
When you got the curby can did you have to go during normal business hours? There is no way I can get there during those hours and I don't know what to do with my recyclables

You have to pay for the Town bags, so you're better off just getting large leaf bags (we used black plastic ones last year), or the paper bags at any home improvement store.
Lauren- a few of my neighbors don't have the curby can, and they went out to Walmart and bought one of those tupperware containers and just fill that with their plastics for recycle day.

Ah ok, thanks Betsy. I was going to do that but wanted to be sure the town would take that!
I am just going to mulch all the leaves with the lawn mower. It will make good fertilzer for the grass seed we are going to plant.

We mulch too now. We couldn't when we moved in cause there were 2-3 years of leaves on the ground.
We only use an extra garbage can for all the trigs, limbs, etc we find on the ground from the trees, cause we don't want the lawn mower to break.
