brown sweater
Am I losing my mind? The brown sweater that I got for Christmas and was brown when I put it on this morning, looks green under the lights at work.
There's not a brown thread in it, except for the brown suede strands on the zipper. It kind of goes with the light brown t-shirt I have on underneath it, not so much with the dark brown pants and boots I have on.

Re: brown sweater
Yup - I have had this happen. I bought a shower curtain at BBB that was a perfect shade of olive green to match my towels - got home and it was brown! Now in my new home - it's green again. It all has to do with the lighting...but you'd have no way of knowing until you were in different lighting.

Re: brown sweater
Thats funny, when we saw our couch in the store we thought it was green and the salesperson told us it was brown. At home it also looks green. It totally depends on the light.

Re: brown sweater
green is a base for brown (in certain mixtures) and can look green under certain lighting and more red under others.
ETA: The different light elements will use different waves of light, producing different variations of white light. For instance I cannot stand to work on the computer under flourescent lights so I wear glasses that have a tint to them to cancel out the weird bluish colour they emit. So annoying.

Re: brown sweater
Was the sweater Ann Taylor? I had no idea my sweater was green until I showed up at the office.

Same exact thing happened to me. I thought I was buying a sage green shower curtain - got home and it was tan. So odd!
