BRU Diaper Sale
BRU is having a diaper sale in store 3 days only. Pampers - any two mega packs of diapers and a mega pack of wipes for only $33. Huggies buy any two value boxes of diapers 100 count or higher and receive a $20 gift card to BRU...gift card is good until 1/28/12. Offer expires 6/12. Now I am torn which do I get? Which is the best Pampers brand and which is the best Huggies?

I think most of the ladies her like Pampers.. but what would you buy? Newborn? And are there other any particular type of Newborn diapers that is better?

Pampers has 3 different kinds, sensitive, swaddlers and cruises. Not sure which one to buy. I think I will buy Newborn and Size 1. If  doesn't wear newborn I can always exchange them for a bigger size.

I wouldn't buy a mega pack of newborn. DS was only 6lbs 13oz and only wore newborn for a week b/c they just don't hold enough pee. In fact, the hospital uses 1s so we "switched back" mainly just bc I had them.
I'm not saying don't have a small pack of nbs around but I wouldn't use the sale for that size. IMO I would get two packs of 1s

From experience I would buy size 1. You will use all of them! My son at 3 months is still in 1's, actually 1-2(it's some weird thing I've only seen on amazon. I prefer pampers swaddlers. I hated huggies. I threw them out. They were so horrible but some people swear by them.
You never really need to buy newborn size unless your DC is teeny tiny.

I love Huggies (little snugglers, not snug & dry) but they do run a bit small. I still use both those and Pampers (although the pampers swaddlers, which are the pricier ones, do make DD's bum very red sometimes). Pampers run bigger. Why not get a box of size 1s and a box of size 2s? That way, you're sure to use them all and you can always experiment/switch up your brands as you go. DD is 5 months old and just now growing out of her size 2s. I have one package of 2-3s I got as a shower present I'm using overnight right now and those have been great (they're pampers swaddlers).
I've never used pampers sensitive because they have aloe in them (so do Huggies wipes and unscented pampers wipes) and I'm allergic to Aloe so I'm keeping it away from DD.

pampers swaddlers are one of our faves...never tried huggies....
Save ur reciepts. DS never wore his newborn diapers so we had to return them

thank you for posting this.
I ran up to BRU today and picked up 2 boxes of the 1-2 size box of HUGGIES(fits up to 15lbs) - 264 count... (honestly I am a Pampers fan, but the price worked out better) when all was said and done it came out to $.12 per diaper. I think thats pretty good!

I went yesterday too and a sales associate told me it was only Friday and Saturday.
My sister asked the lady if she knows if BRU does this often and she says well we don't make the sales corporate does. She was not very pleasant at all!

That's terrible. When I went in the sign said 6/10-6/12 and I had a print out that said the same. Sorry you guys couldn't take advantage of the sale.

That's crazy! I went in yesterday and the sale was still going on.
I actually didn't wind up getting any diapers though, b/c with the 20% off I'm getting through diapers.com right now the diapers online were way less $$$.
