Brunch Foods/recipes?

What are some of your favorite things to eat for brunch??

We are thinking of making one for DS's first birthday and so far I am thinking:

baked french toast
bagels
fruit salad
banana chocolate chip bread
farina muffins
chocolate chip coffee cake
pasta salad
egg salad?
Linzer Tart bars
birthday cake & cupcakes

any ideas on things to add or replace?

I prefer french toast, but every house guest who has ever stayed over at our place always requests pancakes or waffles.

I like my bagels with special cream cheeses like lox cream cheese, or vegetable cream cheese.

You put a question mark next to egg salad but thats a good, easy brunch item. People like to have it on their bagels or as a regular sandwich. You can also make tuna salad.

Breakfast sausages are always a huge hit.

The fruit salad and banana chocolate chip bread sounds delicious. What about cranberry muffins or scones?

Maybe you can make some mini-quiches for people who like eggs.

I also like hash browns, but that is hard to make and keep warm for a party.

All great ideas. I'd do a breakfast meat as well, either a pan of bacon, sausage or ham.

OR a cold cut/cheese platter

Tuna salad

specialty cream cheeses/lox

danish

I like the idea of the cheese/cold cut platter.

You can always do a breakfast bake as well in lieu of making eggs. I have a recipe if you would like.

Cinnamon rolls are always good. And homemade waffles with topings- LOVE THEM!
