Re: Brushing their teeth
As soon as they get them or even before. I used to wipe their gums with just a baby washcloth and water before their teeth came in.

Re: Brushing their teeth
Gerber makes an Infant Tooth and Gum Cleanser -- there's a little 'brush' you put on your finger, and the cleanser ('paste') doesn't have flouride in it.
my DD loves it!!

Re: Brushing their teeth
I started when he got his second tooth ( I am bad) I use special baby tooth paste in berry flavor, got it in BBB along with the tooth brush.

I bought that one too but we both hated it. I can never quite get to the teeth with it and for some reason he never lets em use it on him He loves the other toddler toothbrush though and opens wide whenever I bring it up to his mouth.

this is what I used, from three months to around 5 months then got the toddler tooth brush with the fluoride free toothpaste.
He always loved "brushing" his teeth. It started out as something to do while getting changed now he runs into the bathroom and gets his stool to brush - tho I still have make sure he did a good job of course.

Re: Brushing their teeth
I just use a wash cloth. We tried the toothpaste thing and he hated it. My neighbor is a pediatric hygentist and she said that it's overrated and to just use warm water and the wash cloth for now.

Re: Brushing their teeth
This is my struggle right now...she just bites and chews the toothbrush. Hoping it's just a phase...

Re: Brushing their teeth
I use a washcloth for Nate. I might have to use the finger brush bc the other day I noticed food in one of his molars.

Re: Brushing their teeth
Ryan has 7 teeth. I have been brushing them for abt a month now. Before that I used a wash cloth. Be careful with that finger brush - once they get a lot of teeth it hurts.
