Brushing Your Cat
I brushed Simba this AM (I try to keep up with it) and in all the hair that comes off in the brush I noticed black "grains" or "spots". Ive noticed he's been "scratching/licking" and thats why I wanted to give him a good brushing. Does anyone know what the black spots in his hair could be? DH says maybe its dander. Since Ive brushed him a few hours ago, he hasn't been scratching himself. Sorry this is so long, but, was wondering if anyone else with cats has experienced this. TIA

Re: Brushing Your Cat
Sorry, I am no help considering I have a black cat. But, sometimes my black cat does have white flakes, if that makes you feel better. :)

Re: Brushing Your Cat
Flea dirt shows as black spots/flakes.... Check your cats belly- that's generally where the fleas go to hide.
