BTDT Dutch wonderland-ers should we go on a rainy weekend?
we are supposed to take DS to DW and stay at eden this weekend, but now the weather looks like it will be rainy Grrrr for those that have BTDT, do you think we should still go? Part of me think the rain will keep the park empty and the other part says cancel. What do you think?

I think they close when it rains and issue rain passes?

Re: BTDT Dutch wonderland-ers should we go on a rainy weekend?
We were just there last past week-end.....
The one day we went it rained mid-day on and off ...Some of the attractions including Dukes Lagoon were closed... So many people got scared off by the rain that the park got so nice and empty !!
When we were leaving there was someone there sending us to Guest Relations for rain passes ! So now we got an extra day to go back in 2011 and we really didn' even miss anything (aside from Dukes Lagoon which to me didnt look all that big, and we had gone to Sesame earlier in the season) I believe their policy was if it rains for more than 1 hour of your stay at DW, you get a pass....
Is it supposed to be a total washout (major storm? )...If not, I say go for it
If you see my recent review, it rained another day of my trip and we hit up the Hands on House and Christmas Museum...The Turkey Hill Experience is also supposed to be great! So you could always try, if its too wet, get the pass and find some other fun stuff to do until the following day if you have some flexibility

I agree with the PP, we went last year and it was a little rain, mist most of the day. The park was almost empty and we waited for nothing. We did not have time to do the water park area. We were having so much fun going on everything else no one minded.

Re: BTDT Dutch wonderland-ers should we go on a rainy weekend?
We went last year when it rained one of the days we were there. The rainy day was a lost day. The second day was gorgeous and we had a great time at DW.
Personally I would want to go on a sunny weekend. If you can reschedule, I would.
