My baby will be born July 1st (hopefully) when can you take the baby to the beach?

Re: BTDT Mommies... Beach Question
Hmmm I don't know if you'll even going to the beach unfortunately. When my son was born the doctor didn't want me taking out to public for at least 8 weeks. So I don't know. Every doctor is different and it's your baby you can do whatever you want, just be very very cautious.

Re: BTDT Mommies... Beach Question
IMO, I'd hold off this year. Not so much worried about DC getting sick (if you sit away from people) but because of the wind, blowing sand and heat.

Re: BTDT Mommies... Beach Question
Maddie was born June 15th. My visions of hanging out at the beach were dashed when it was way to hot & she got heat rash.

Jared was born on June 13 and I didn't go near the beach until the next year.

DD was born 6/10
We still haven't taken her to the beach - she was way too young last year. We did take her out on the boat - but she was covered almost the whole time.

Same here...DS was born on 6/4 and he has not been to the beach yet. Then again DH and I are not beach people but he will get the chance to go when we are on the cruise and i'm sure we'll start taking more and more trips to the beach as DS gets older. Just because we are not beach people doesn't mean that we have to deprive DS. It actually might be more fun going now that we have a child.

Re: BTDT Mommies... Beach Question
Yeah - just my personal opinion but I wouldn't bring a baby to the beach until they were at least 3 months. So basically I am due with #2 this summer and figure once the baby is born - beach plans are off for me. I just feel like the sun is too strong at the beach and they can't be protected fully and be exposed for that long of a period of time.
My son was about 6/7 months but he was a winter baby.

Re: BTDT Mommies... Beach Question
Personally, I wouldn't go to the beach with the baby this year. To play it safe, I'd wait until next year for the reasons posted above...
