BTDT mommies Two Bapstism outfits?

I am trying to figure out if I need an outfit for her party or should I just keep DD in her Baptism dress? Mom said I was crazy to get something else but I am afraid she might not be comfortable.

What did you all do?

DD #1 it was 90 degrees the day she was baptized, so she changed into a cooler sundress. She could have stayed in her dress if it wasn't so hot, her's wasn't a traditional long one.

dd#2-getting baptized in a couple weeks, she's changing into something else(her dress is on the longer side)-if i can find something i like-otherwise she might stay in her dress,

DS was baptized last month in a traditinal long gown, so he had to change because that is not very comfortable to wear all day.

He suppose to wear a cute sailor suit after wards for his party which was in our back yard, but the weather did not cooperate, it was freezing outside so he wore a long footsie style outfit.

I was going to keep her in her gown all day (I had it handmade from my wedding gown) but its extremely long & poofy so I think after an hour or so at her party I'll change her.

DD's is 11/4 so it is coming up -maybe what I will do is have an outfit on hand that I can change her into if she gets uncomfortable.

DD was only 5 1/2 weeks when she was baptised, it was march, she wore a long gown but her party was only for about an hour after the church so I didnt change her.

I changed my DD out of her long gown into a short party dress after we were at the reception for about an hour.

DD's baptism was this past Sunday and it was hot! So I kept her in her gown until about an hour into her party and then I changed her into another white dress. I was glad I brought it b/c she was getting hot from being held and passed around in that gown.

I only keep them in their baptisim outfit for church, then I would change them. (But I also had to keep the outfit in good condition because I planned on having any other boy I have wear it as well) Who would of thought I would of had 3 boys wearing it Chat Icon

I had a second dress but it was so hot, I would just take off the dress when were weren't taking pictures or during naps and let her hang in her undershirt.

Re: BTDT mommies Two Bapstism outfits?

I have 2 dresses. The formal one for the christening and then another for the party, something she'll be much more comfy in.

DD's Baptism is on Sunday and I plan on changing her into another outfit after the ceremony. Her dress is long and I don't think she'll be very comfortable in it for long, and it's also more difficult to handle her in it.
