btdt moms - what shoes to buy for a pre-walking toddler?
ds' teacher at daycare recommends flat-soled sneakers/shoes for him since he's just learning to walk.
i had initially bought robeez for him, but they are too tight for his cankles and made a mark 
can you recommend your toddler's shoes?

They are pricey - but Stride Rite has a pair for pre walkers and you can get them extra wide for his chunky feet.

Where do you live? We used Joseph's Shoes for DS and we ended up buying him a pair similar to Stride Rites (which they carry as well)
But he got measured and got a great pair of shoes!

Stride Rite for DS' first pair too! Luckily my mom bought him his first pair of shoes, not that they are THAT much, but it helped.

Pedipeds are great. They fit perfectly and are very durable despite being a soft sole shoe.

thanks, everyone!
DS got measured and his feet are off the charts tiny - size 3, extra wide, at almost 11 months 
stride rite only had one pair of stage 2 shoes in that size, so we bought those. we also bought a very soft pair of pedipeds.
