BTDT Moms and Moms of 1 year olds - pleas help! Feeding!
My boys will be a year next week and they eat cheerios, and some pasta and puffs, but they are still mostly on formula and purees. they gag and puke when i give them finger foods most of the time. my pediatrician said i need to get the off so much formula and they should be on solely finger food solids by now.
what is everyone feeding their one year olds? can anyone post their feeding schedule please? with ideas on what to feed them? and how should i be introducing the new foods so they don't gag?
thanks so much - i'm so nervous they will have eating issues.

My DD is 15 months, but her schedule, and what she eats, have been the same for a few months
8:00 breakfast (waffle or pancake and cut up fruit)
10:00 snack (string cheese, fruit, pirate's booty, veggie sticks, dry cereal, raisins, etc.)
12:00 lunch (usually pasta or sandwich--grilled cheese, cream cheese, hummus with some cut up fruit and veggie)
2:30 milk sippy and snack
5:00 dinner (sometimes what we're having, but we eat a lot of beans, which she doesn't love, so sometimes I make her a sandwich, mac and cheese, french toast, tofu nuggets, etc.)
She also nurses when she wakes up and before she goes to bed.
As far as how to introduce the foods so they don't gag, I'm not sure...maybe start with things that are really soft, and cut it in to very small pieces to get them used to the new textures?

My first DS loved foods and was on nearly all table food by 11 months. Just keep at it! Liek baby food sometimes it takes a few times of introducing hte same food for them to accept it!
