BTDT moms, BF/weaning question....
I'm still BF Julia, but she is 11 months now and I want to start giving her regular milk. The Dr said it was time, I just don't know how to start. My Dr said to put the milk in the sippy cup and give it to her that way and just cut out like 2 feedings.
I forgot to ask the Dr some questions...
So maybe some of you may know.
How much milk do I put in the sippy? When is the best times to give her the milk? How do I keep the milk fresh and cold for her when I'm out for the day? TIA!

I just weaned Melanie, so I think I can help. I gave her 4 oz. of milk, and I gave it to her right before nap time and bed time. If I'm out for the day, I give her 2-4 oz of juice, because it keeps better than milk.

I never cut out a BM feeding with either of my kids. IMO my milk is better for them than a cows milk. I nursed as I normaly would and offer milk in those cooler sippies throughout the day. I give milk with breakfast, lunch and usually dinner. When we go out the kids get water sippies. I do carry around a plastic juice (those gerber thingys) incase we run out of water.

Thanks I will try that. How long did it take you to wean her? Julia favors my left boob over my right, so I'm just really feeding her off of my left one right now the most. I am a little lopsided--lol I just wanted to know how long till my boobs go back to normal? Thanks again!

It took 5 days for her to stop BFing. For about a week or 2 before I officially weaned her I used the don't offer don't refuse method. Good luck with weaning her!
