BTDT Moms HELP!!!!!
Ok well I have not been on here in quite some time, but I have NO TIME!! With 5 kids and these twins being the last I am going out of my mind busy!! Well the twins will be 7 months this Thursday (can NOT believe where has the time gone?!!) but anyway, Alyssa likes to beat all odds and the baby who started crawling June 29th at just 3 months old which adjusted age for them would have been just 5 weeks old, has now decided that being able to crawl all over at marathon speeds is just not enough for her. She now stands up on/at everything! She was an EXCELLENT sleeper and now she doesn't sleep AT ALL. Every single time you put her in her crib she immediately crawls to the sides and stands but she gets so crazy and excited she winds up falling and hitting her head or hitting her head on the way up and she takes quite a beaten but eventually it ends in major hysterics. She is up every hour on the hour and refuses to sleep unless you are holding her which is so NOT like her. She is the one who typically wants to be put down as soon as she is done with a bottle and put herself to sleep. I am at a loss completely. I have 5 children and although my son was ridiculously advanced and walking by 9 months this child is by far the nuttiest. I am trying to find the foam edging stuff to maybe put that along the edges of the crib but she pulls the bumpers down while shes standing so she bumps her head on the rails too. i just don't know what to do with her anymore. I just ordered the gates to make a giant playpen out of my familyroom and the foam tiles to protect her from my furniture that she likes to climb up on but I NEED to figure this sleeping situation out and FAST!!! ANy suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

Re: BTDT Moms HELP!!!!!
Aww! My boys stood, climbed, and cruised at that age also. I didn't do anything special with their cribs. She has to learn how to get herself back down, and that may take a few days or weeks, and then she will stop falling. My boys got the hang of it pretty quickly and I hope Alyssa will too! I think anything you put in there may be more hazardous for choking or be something that would distract her from sleeping... We have the homedics sound spa with projector. This! It projects an image onto the ceiling and all my kids love it, they lay there and stare at it. Maybe something like this would encourage her to lay down. Good luck!!
