BTDT moms: Question re rolling over
Ellie just figured out how to roll from back to belly and does every time we put her down.
2 problems:
1. she can't roll back onto her back so she gets stuck and I spend all my time watching and flipping her back over b/c she gets frustrated & screams. how quickly will she figure out how to roll back? am i wrong to do it for her if she's genuinely upset?
2. she makes herself throw up either as a result of the rolling or from laying on her stomach. how do I stop this?

Re: BTDT moms: Question re rolling over
Ava has been rolling from back to belly for a while now, so we had to let her sleep on her belly because she wiggles out of the positioner and she'd just flip herself anyway. Last week at 14 weeks she started to flip from belly to back, so it was about a 9 week interval of when she rolled from back to belly. Ava has reflux and vomits anyway, so I don't think there's anything you can do to stop that. As for flipping her, if she's really upset, I would flip her, but I'd try to give her as much tummy time as you can during the day so that she can start to figure it out.

Re: BTDT moms: Question re rolling over
I called my ped. on this because I was getting scared (Mikey would go flat on his face ) and scream and I was not getting any sleep. My ped said that you have to keep flipping him. He said it stinks, but if they can't do it on their own- it increases the risk of SIDS.
ETA- as for the throwing up... is it a full out vomit, or spitting up? Mikey sometimes spits up a little bit after he is on his stomach for a while, I never thought anything of it, and he is usually fine.

I would flip her in the night if she will go back to sleep... DD didn't start rolling until she was 5 months old and it only took her about 2 weeks to roll from belly to back.

Since it sounds like your son did a very similar thing, how long did it take for him to learn to roll from belly to back?

He's still working on it. He's been doing this for about 2 weeks now.
