BTDT Moms who broke the swaddling habit
Just wondering how long did it take for them to sleep for long stretches again. DS is 4 months and was waking up constantly trying to get out of the swaddle and rolling all over the place so last night we took it away and just used the sleep sack but he woke up a lot.
Please tell me it will get easier.
Thanks!

Re: BTDT Moms who broke the swaddling habit
Was wondering this myself. DD is 2.5 months and I really wanted to keep her in the swaddle a bit longer. I feel like she needs it, but shes breaking out of the swaddle me every night. I got the larger size yesterday hoping it would help but she broke out of that too last night... I'm so worried to stop using it because I feel like she still needs it!!

I found that the Miracle Blanket lasts longer than the Swaddle Me for those who say their DC is breaking out of that.
Once he was too big for the MB we moved on to sleepsacks. I think it was better than I expected it to be. I would say a few nights.

Re: BTDT Moms who broke the swaddling habit
Im starting to wean Brayden...
I have released his arms, and he is doing well...(its been about a week)
Last night, I tried to not use it at all and he was up ALOT.... so we are not ready to not use it yet...
Can you try and just swaddle his legs... I know the sleep sack is kinda the same idea, but maybe it isnt as "tight"?

I was thinking that too. We use the Miracle Blanket but maybe I should just leave his arms out for a while and then move to the sleep sack.
Last night he was up a lot too and Brayden and Liam are around the same ag.
Thanks!

Do you happen to remember how big he was when he was too big for the MB?
We were using the Miracle Blanket too.

Re: BTDT Moms who broke the swaddling habit
Ive, as you know, we broke Samantha cold turkey, I had no choice. However, she was being swaddled with her arms out for a long time, so I think that's what helped make the transition easier for her. It did take a couple of nights for her to stop waking up, but in her case, she had just learned to roll onto her tummy and would get upset when she was laying that way. I don't think it had to do with the swaddle.

Thanks Michelle! I think I am going to try swaddling with arms out for a while before I jump to the sleep sack. Thanks!
