BTDT Moms...bed question?
If you had the option to go bigger than a twin size bed for DC would you? I don't want to make the wrong decision. I can't decide between a twin or a full size.
DD doesn't (currently ) have any sleeping issues. She only sleeps in her crib, never w/ us and sleeps the whole night.

Re: BTDT Moms...bed question?
We're going to have twin beds for both DC, mainly because they already have convertible cribs, so the headboard and footboard are already picked out. Very few colleges have larger than twin or full beds, so if they get too used to a queen size, they may have a hard time in college. Also, a queen bed takes up a lot of floor space. If you can afford the space, that's one thing, but while they are growing up, I'd rather have the floor space for them to play, or have a homework desk, or anything else they want or need the space for.
Just my opinion....

Re: BTDT Moms...bed question?
I have twin beds for them. One was free (someone was giving away a free Bellini ). The other is a twin bed with a trundle twin bed underneath that pops up (which winds up being a king size when put together).
If you are planning on having guests stay over, I would opt for the full size. The kids get the floor, the adult gets the bed. Also for sleepovers it's probably more comfortable too.

Re: BTDT Moms...bed question?
My sister got her DD new bedroom furniture when they moved into there new house, and she got her a queen size bed, its beautiful! My niece is 4.
I'm going to do the same for Julia.
I also agree its also good to have another large bed in the house if guests stay over.

Re: BTDT Moms...bed question?
I wouldnt get bigger than a twin. I was going to say a full for sleepovers but I'd rather get a twin trundle for sleepovers....so early to make decisions based on sleepovers but the mattresses do last a long time and that time will be here before you know it.
ETA: Actually the idea of having another bigger bed to offer to guests doesnt sound like a bad idea so if you think that's something you'd do, it would probably make sense to go bigger.

Re: BTDT Moms...bed question?
I was leaning toward the full but now I think I am going to go w/ a twin. If I decide I need more bed I think I will consider a trundle.
Thanks everyone!

Re: BTDT Moms...bed question?
If space wasn't an issue, I would definitely get a full bed. Once my boys go into their own bedrooms that's what we'll get them.

Re: BTDT Moms...bed question?
if there is ample room for the full, I'd get it. I got DS a twin for right now because he keeps alot of his toys in his room and I wanted to have extra room for him to play. But down the line when its time for a new mattress I'll get him a full.

Re: BTDT Moms...bed question?
Molly has a toddler bed right now. After we will get her a twin with a trundle for sleep overs. I think a Full bed is great if you have the space plus is nice for overnight guests.
