BTDT: nutramigen insurance ??
my daughter was on neosure b/c of prematurity and my insurance covered it. has anyone ever had nutramigen covered? BTW, she hates this stuff!

I have BC/BS - They automatically cover Nutramigen formula during the 1st year. They may require that your ped fill out a form stating why your DC needs the formula, but that's about it. They didn't give me any problems.

yes our insurance covered it with a script and a letter of medical necessity from the pediatrician.
I went though Apria Healthcare, but I'm sure if I had gone straight to BVBS of Georgia, they would have done it too.

Same here. I have United. The actual insurance company doesn't matter, its the plan that matters.

yes, my insurance covered it. All I needed was a letter written on a prescription form from my PED and they sent it to my insurance company.

yep, we have it covered without a fight at all thankfully! My allergist wrote a letter and sent an RX to Apria and UHC for me.

We just had to get an Rx for it from the Ped. & bring it to the pharmacy..Just like a regular RX-No paperwork involved (BC/BS).
