Re: Bubble Bath for Girls...

I started to use bubble bath @ 8 mos.- but it dried out DD's skin, so we don't anymore. Also she puts all her bath toys in her mouth - I would prefer them not to be soapy.

So instead I blow bubbles while she is in the tub.

Re: Bubble Bath for Girls...

Every now and then I let them have a bubble bath. Maybe every 2-3 weeks. I started at around 18 months

Ya know...I did too!
I heard something about it giving UTI's and I dont think they said it was ever specifically "safe". I really dont know the answer but know that I read it as well.

Re: Bubble Bath for Girls...

My DD is very sensitive and if she takes a bubble bath she always gets very red and irritated. She has gotten infections as well. She is 7 and it has never gotten any better. We stick with showers only now.

Look at it this way if you over soap "down there" you can dry things out and cause irritation...If DD is still in diapers you can pretty much keep an eye on things and you'll know when you are over doing the bubble bath....

I have 5 girls who have all taken bubble baths and we have never had an issue. I make sure I dont over do the bath bubbles..use a mild bubble bath..and we dont use it every time either.
