Buh Bye Jack FM!!!
Rumor has it that WCBS 101.1 is bringing back the oldies!
I thought this was the dumbest move ever when they swtitched the format back in '05 and I get a great oldies station on Sirius now, but will be happy to have the old 101.1 back!

I was listening to Jack but now Krock is back so I listen to that.
I was so MAD when they took the oldies off and would be so happy for it to come back.
But jack isn't a horrible station.

I was disappointed when they got rid of the oldies and got Jack FM but I actually like the station so it's with mixed feelings now that the oldies are coming back and Jack is gone.

I love Jack FM-- you hear some stuff on there that no other station in NY plays... I especially like the Acoustic Sunrise-- I will definitely miss that.
I don't remember radio stations switching formats as much as they do these days-- I guess it's the equivalent of getting canceled on TV-- not enough ratings, and you're outta here!

ITA! I do miss the oldies! But, I liked that Jack played all sorts of different songs.

GM Jennifer Donohue says they're acknowledging a loyal fan base "who've never stopped asking for the format's return - and now we're thrilled to be back." Two WCBS-FM veterans return as well - Dan Taylor in mornings and Bob Shannon in middays. New York market vet Broadway Bill Lee gets afternoon drive. The Jack format moves to WCBS-FM's HD-2 signal.
