Re: Builder's Wives
It's gotten better where he has constant, steady work, and brings in enough to pay our mortgage each month.
He's doing a HUGE job in the Hamptons right now that helps.
Last year was horrible. Our whole joint savings practically was drained.
He's still not bringing in any "extra" money at this point like in the years before.
Our basics are met though so I can't complain about that. It could absolutely be so much worse, and I've experienced that.

Re: Builder's Wives
Greatly improved over the last three years, my DH builds exclusively in the Hamptons and he has more new work this year than he has since 2008. Not to mention the Hamptons are totally packed already. Our dear friend is a renowned RE broker & she already sold a $20 million dollar estate this season and she said she had a record breaking rental. She set the all time record in 2007 for a seasonal rental in the Hamptons. So things are looking very rosy this year.
Whether or not it’s falsified by the government, there is no doubt the "recovery" is helping right now.

Re: Builder's Wives
Not a builder's wife but an architect's wife. Things are trickling in more and more. Lots of home improvements and legalization's.
